The Nephrology Department at Elite Mission Hospital was established in 2003 with just two hemodialysis machines and a small dialysis ICU. With the increasing number of patients requiring hemodialysis, the department expanded significantly in 2010.

On 1st January 2024, the Hemodialysis Unit & RO Plant was upgraded to a world-class facility, now accommodating 15 patients at a time. This advancement enables the hospital to perform approximately 1,350 hemodialysis sessions per month, including 1,200 OPD HD sessions and 150 HD sessions for acute kidney injury patients admitted to the ICU across various departments.

The inauguration ceremony of the renovated Nephrology Dialysis Department took place on 1st January 2024, with the lamp lighting ceremony led by Dr. Mohandas K.K, Dr. K.C. Pyarelal, Dr. Rakesh K.S, Dr. Abhishek K.M, Dr. Vinod P.B. Baburajan, along with other esteemed doctors and staff of Elite Mission Hospital.

This milestone marks a significant step in enhancing patient care and dialysis treatment at the hospital, reaffirming its commitment to providing the best medical services.
