Since its inception in 1979, Elite Mission Hospital’s ENT department has been at the forefront of providing exceptional ear, nose, and throat care to the community. Under the visionary leadership of Dr. K C Prakashan, one of the hospital’s managing partners, the department has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation and excellence.

Milestones and Achievements

• Conducted the first Stapedectomy camp for Otosclerosis in Kerala on January 10, 1983, with Padmashri Dr. Milind V Kirtane as the chief surgeon.
• Performed numerous stapedectomies, making Elite Mission Hospital the first hospital in Thrissur to provide surgical treatment for Otosclerosis.
• Introduced the first Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) in Thrissur.
• Pioneered the use of Coblation technology in Thrissur.
• Launched the first Voice and Swallowing Centre in Thrissur, providing comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for voice and swallowing disorders. The centre was inaugurated by Singer Anoop Sankar and Father Paul Poovathingal on February 26, 2024.
