This is the first department which was opened in this hospital in 1979. This department caters to the general as well as specific Paediatric problems in close co-ordination with other departments of Super Specialties. It is a fully fledged department with facilities for Intensive Care addressing all emergencies and acute problems. Well-baby clinic follows the Immunization Schedule as envisaged by WHO. Apart from routine immunization, vaccination against Hepatitis-B, HIB, is given as the Newborns constitute a high risk carrier pool. Neonatology service provides level II care in tackling Neonatal emergencies. This Hospital is accredited by the UNICEF as a BABY FRIENDLY HOSPITAL.

Facilities for management of all general emergency paediatric cases. Also, facility for neonatal care like phototherapy, Incubator care, radiant warmer in L.R.infant ventilator.
